Foot Health Care

What is Foot Health Care?

Foot Health Care is the modern way to care for feet. A Foot Health Care Practitioner works to ensure your feet stay in a healthy condition by recognising and treating any foot conditions as well as providing you with advice on day to day foot care.

Why Foot Health care?

Our feet are in constant use and are generally neglected. Poor foot health car can lead to skin and nail problems which will cause discomfort and hinder mobility. Being overweight and / or diabetic are just two of the prevalent health conditions that increase the need for regular foot care. During the first consultation a Practitioner will make a detailed assessment of your foot health, discuss an appropriate plan and carry out the necessary foot care.

When is foot care needed?

If you suffer with any of the following conditions:

  • Corns
  • Calluses (hard skin)
  • Heel fissures (cracked skin)
  • Verrucas
  • Flat feet
  • Bunions
  • Nail conditions
  • Structural defects

Foot care should be considered if you are unable to look after your feet yourself. There may be little wrong with them but if you suffer with conditions such as arthritis, painful joints or stiff knees that put your feet out of reach or prevent the use of scissors or clippers, then a Foot Health care Professional will help you.

Many of the above conditions can be treated without surgery or medical intervention.

Often people just enjoy being pampered or are keen to maintain their feet in optimum condition.

A simple nail clipping service is available for those who just want to keep their nails trimmed.
